Welcome to your first peak inside The Gibson House. This 1912 home holds so much history, we are honored to have the opportunity to breathe new life into it, while also preserving it's charm.
The home is being remodeled in phases - with the living and dining room first on the list. We removed the old wallpaper and went with a plaster finish. We were careful to select timeless finishes that look like they could have been here all along.
We selected a replica Batchelder tile made by Pasadena Tile to fit the time of the home, but keeping it all a consistent color that feels more modern.
WALL COLOR: ELIZABETH IN ROMAN CLAY BY PORTOLA PAINTS
The dining room had some paneling removed, but we kept the original ledge for pictures and plates. The plaster finish ties into walls, while also adding a modern touch. We also chose to keep the existing built in's - the perfect display for dishes.
